  1.   This application replaces "NTK Shapes," an earlier
  2. version of "ShapeRus."  Name change to be cute :-).

  4.   This is version 0.9.5, it never seems quite ready
  5. for 1.0.0  ;-) .
  6.   
  7.   While developing NewtonGOLF(TM) I found the need to
  8. experiment with different foreground and background
  9. fill pattern combinations to see what "looked" good
  10. on a Newton MP screen.  So I put together this
  11. utility program.  If you find it useful, drop me a
  12. line via Email.  If you have suggestions, I'll take
  13. them under advisement.  If you what to see the code
  14. (it ain't pretty :-( ) drop me a line and let
  15. me know "what for" and I may be willing to send it
  16. to you.

  18.   This utility allows a developer to see the
  19. visual appearance of the various NTK Drawing
  20. shape attribute choices & their combinations.
  21.  
  22. - You can choose what NTK Shape primitive to draw.
  23. - You can choose its foreground fill pattern.
  24. - You can choose its foreground pen pattern.
  25. - You can choose its background fill pattern.
  26. - You can choose the mode of fg/bg pixel interaction.
  27. - You can define your own pattern and use it
  28.   for fg fill, fg pen, or bg fill pattern.  It
  29.   also shows you the HEX pattern value needed
  30.   for NTK.  Tap in input grid to toggle on or off
  31.   the 8x8 pixel location.
  32. - You can define your own polygon shape to replace
  33.   the default polygon (pentagon) shape.  Polygon
  34.   input supports snap to grid option.  Tap (not
  35.   stroke) in input area to define polygon points.
  36.   Close the last point to the first point when
  37.   done.

  39.   The result of all these options and choices
  40. appears in the canvas located above the menu
  41. buttons.
